Howard Dean talked me into phone banking for Obama on Monday morning. So I'll be waking up early Monday to call, and even earlier Tuesday to vote. Freakin' charismatic speaker!

Minnesota is pretty solidly blue on the electoral map (voted for a Republican candidate once since 1960), but I live in a red county.

For some reason, Hardball decided to put my congresswoman, Michele Bachmann, on teevee last night. She, in turn, decided this was the proper venue to propose the recreation of McCarthyism, and the new HUAC first needs to investigate Obama.

Mo Rocca's write-up of the white-tie Al Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner held last night. It featured stand-up by McCain and Obama. The CNN coverage is YouTubed at the bottom of his post.
